Guest Blogger: Courtney Blackman

We're three hours in and the Burress enclave (eight adults and two mini people) are wreaking havoc in the Aurora South waiting room.
Charlie is on bypass right now and everything is going A-OK.

...and because I work in fashion, here's a brief rundown of what people are wearing. Megan is wearing a pale pink sweater with a ruffle collar, jeans and trainers (UK English for sneakers), Brittney is wearing olive green cargo pants and a black t-shirt with 'Steelers' emblazoned in gold. Karen is sporting a plum coloured shirt, jeans and black leather boots, accented with a black scarf. Kevin is wearing black trousers, black leather clogs and a long, flowing beige pancho. We're looking great!

Check in frequently for updates.

  2. Courtney! You crack me up. It is always good to have Burress blood around. I'm glad your fashion passion is being put to good use. Now, when things gets boring, pull out all those "fun clothes" you bought and dress them as you would love to them dressed!

Kiss your mom and the others for me and tell everyone I love them.

  3. My thoughts and prayers have been with you all morning which in EST is early. Please give Kevin a hug from the Un-Birthday-Club. Keep laughing to calm the stress. After all, God is in control of the big stuff. Barb Swank Vogt/Cincinnati

  4. Hey Cortney,
Thanks very much for the fashion visual. My wife Terri is in the process of changing from her light burgandy/merlot robe, accented with forest green and navy blue rope piping into her favorite GREEN AND GOLD GREEN BAY PACKER SWEATSHIRT, accented with gold turtleneck.
    GO PACK GO!

She was about to don her Hard Rock London Sweatshirt and changed her mind after Cortney's review of Brittney's attire.

Great to see the Burress spirit in the room :-))). Thanks for the smile and update.

Raboni Burress and family remain in our continuous prayers. Rooting for my favorite cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Propp as well.

  5. The boredom has caused Joe and Farley to start doing pushups in the waiting room. You should have seen the nurses quirky looks as the whole Burress family sang "Itsy bitsy teeny weenie yellow polkadot bikini". Joe almost broke out in song and dance, performing a broadway musical for the rest of the family.

Actually, I'm featuring....my Pink with Green "G" Packer hat that Diana Farve started in 2005. I'll be in WISCONSIN for the ticker tape parade next week after Sunday's slaughter!

Sorry Courtney...I am a cheesehead! Did love your fashion commentary however! Wish I could get over there and have a "spot of tea" w/ you!
Please give your Mom a big hug for me. Thanks! "Pauley"
